Manny Castillo’s birthday is coming up. We miss Manny not only today, but very often.
Check out this article I found recently about him, but it was written in 2010. It speaks about his story from the last 20 years. He really accomplished so much in that time and contributed so greatly to his community, the west side of San Antonio. I admire this man, and wish that I had gotten to know him better in the short time I knew him.

“The organization’s 37th mural, entitled “La Musica de San Anto,” honoring the music and memories of legendary San Antonio musicians such as Randy Garibay, Rocky Morales, Lydia Mendoza, Eva Garza, Clifford Scott, Felix Villareal, Doug Sahm, Valerio Longoria, Rosita Fernandez and Manny Castillo, was recently unveiled on what would have been Castillo’s 41st birthday.”
