What Is Golden Hour Records
Since 1990 I've been recording punk bands in and around Austin, TX, almost always in a live setting, where you can hear the fried amps, smashing glass, random chatter, breakups, hookups, and frenzy.
It's not about audio perfection or auto-tuning. Some of these recordings are pretty raw, but it may be the only document of what the artists sounded like in some cases.
A quote from Dustin might be in order here: "This is the best ELVIS live recording I've ever heard!"

Esme Barrera
We are deeply heart broken by the horrible news that on Jan 1, in the early morning hours, Esme was killed in her home. Esme was a dear friend who gave so much of herself everyday as a teacher of special needs kids at Casis, a volunteer for Girls Rock Camp, employee at Waterloo Records, and badass DJ. She was, and is, a shining light for everyone. Burn bright Esme, we'll be watching the night skies for you. You are a shining star and will never be forgotten.
A blog has been established to accept donations for Esme's family to help pay for funeral expenses. You can donate by clicking here.
Everyone, please be aware of your surroundings when roaming around at night having fun. There have been multiple attacks reported in the area surrounding Lamar and 31st.
